This lens, the APO-RODAGON-D 2X 75 f/4, as well as the APO-RODAGON-D 1X 75 f/4 were selected for professional scanning with the Novoflex system because they combine exceptional flat-field performance with high resolution. While real-world performance is difficult to convey in numbers, these lenses rank in the top category in our real-world testing.
The ability to cover larger sensors, including full-frame and medium format (Fujifilm GFX and Hasselblad X), makes these lenses ideal for archival use where optimal quality on a large sensor is required. This is further supported by the sturdy, convenient focusing and positioning provided by the Novoflex system, which we modified and selected to optimise scanning.
This lens (APO-RODAGON-D 2X 75 f/4) is optimized for 1:2 half magnification, making it ideal for scanning medium format while still performing very well for 35mm.
- Optimal working aperture is f/7.1
- Largest aperture: f/4 (For focusing)
- Image circle is very good up to 60mm, allowing it to be used on GFX and X-size sensor
- Extremely even resolution for smaller sensors.
- Optimised for 7μm pixel size, but resolve very well on ~4μm sensors like the Sony a7R and GFX series
- Largest image circle: 86.2mm (1:2). Largest recommended sensor: GFX/X-
