Buying this product will give you an STL file that you can print on a 3D printer if you have access to one. See the bottom of this listing for printing settings.

The VALOI 360 Scanning Hood shades the film from external light when scanning. This is important if you want to keep the room lights on to get good quality scans. With these scanning hoods, you can keep some light on in the room and get a more comfortable working environment.

Compatibility

The 35mm version is only compatible with the standard VALOI 360 35mm Holder, not the Custom Series holders.

The 120 version is only compatible with the VALOI 360 120 Holder.

You can use the Scanning Hoods on any configuration of the VALOI 360, including those with the Advancer, just light Adapter or when using just the holder.

Use

To use the hoods, you just slide them on from one side of the holder. The attachment mechanism ensures that the hood stays on even if you move the holder.

Quality of Your Print

We do not guarantee the quality of your final product. The file is made for being printed with an FDM printer using any common low-temperature filament. However, the final result and functionality will depend on your printer, printer settings, filament and experience.

Print settings:

Filament: Black, matte - for example PLA or PETG. A carbon filled variant is also recommended
Support: None
Nozzle: 0.4mm recommended
Wall thickness: Minimum 2 layers
Brim: 3-5 width
Printing orientation: Up-side down from normal use, with the circle on the print plate
